How much does Tinybeest cost?
The Tinybeest Chrome Extension and macOS apps are free to try for the first 10 images. For our current pricing, visit our Pricing Page.
Can I adjust the amount of image compression?
Yes. In the Mac app Preferences, you can adjust the balance between image quality and file size until it’s just right. In the Chrome Extension, we have a single image compression amount in order to keep it streamlined. If you need more control, try the Mac App.
Why should I compress images?
Fast-loading websites are critical for SEO. If your site takes a long time to load, then it's unlikely you're going to rank well and your users are more inclined to leave. It's very important to make sure your images are optimized, sized correctly, and using the right file format. Tinybeest helps to ensure that your site images are properly compressed and optimized for the web.
Can Tinybeest optimize PDF, SVG, JP2, PNG, TIF, GIF, WebP, JPG, and JPEG files?
Yes. Tinybeest supports all major image file types and extensions. On our desktop app, you can also optimize PDFs.
Can I optimize animated GIFs?
Tinybeest supports the compression and optimization of animated GIF files. Tinybeest also can convert from GIF images to WebP file format.
What are WebP images?
WebP is an image format employing both lossy and lossless compression, along with animation and alpha transparency. Developed by Google, it is designed to create smaller or better looking images compared to the JPEG, PNG, or GIF image formats.
What's the difference between the Chrome Extension and the macOS desktop app?
The Chrome Extension is for users that want to quickly download images from the web in an optimized size and format and image extension. If you want to customize image sizes, change image format, rename images, or have more control over the level of image compression, then the Tinybeest desktop app is the way to go.
How can I upgrade or cancel my Tinybeest subscription?
If you would like to manage your paid subscription, in the Chrome Extension, click into Settings > Manage Subscription. In the macOS desktop app, click on Tinybeest in the menu bar, then Change Subscription.
Can I optimize images in bulk with Tinybeest?
Batch image processing features are available in our desktop app, which allows you to drop in several images to optimize them all at the same time and level of compression. The Chrome Extension allows you to audit a webpage and then download all images on the page in need of optimizing.
